We grow hundreds of garlic bulbs each season, and we're aiming to double that for next season. This time of year, we select the best-looking bulbs to save for our big fall planting, and the rest are hand-braided into beautiful garlic braids. I learned the art of braiding hardneck garlic from one of our favorite local farmers, Insook.
This year, we’ve added florals to make each braid extra special — perfect as a unique gift or as kitchen and home décor. Each braid features six large to medium garlic bulbs, a hanging loop for easy display, and 8–10 sunflowers that will hang upside down and air-dry naturally. When you’re ready to use a bulb, simply snip it off with scissors.
